My name is Kristen Harley; I started my show clothing business for several different reasons, first and foremost – so that I could stay home with my children, Benjamin, born in January 2000, and Wyatt, born June 2004.  The other reason is purely selfish – I love to design and be creative, this business allows my creativity to flow and to be able to share it with the wonderful customers I have is icing on the cake!  It also allows me to keep and show my quarter horse mare, Just Passing Awesome, aka "Georgia". 

     In my business I like to create items that show my style and creativity, and will compliment the wearer.  I take into consideration the person in general, their body style, weaknesses and strengths in their performance, and the overall picture with their horse.  I consult with my custom design customers a lot during the design and construction phase, and right through to the finishing touches – until we are both really excited to see it in the ring! 

     I try my best to work with all budgets; of course, I love the “sky’s the limit” budget, what designer wouldn’t?   However, not everyone can afford to blow their entire season’s budget on one outfit, so I try my best to make garments that are versatile, cost efficient, but overall FABULOUS in the ring!  There are some places that I just don’t like to cut costs, and the one place is in the RHINESTONES.   I prefer to use Swarovski Austrian Crystals – these are absolutely the sparkliest stones available.  I will, when necessary to accommodate a budget, use Czechoslovakian machine cut crystals, which do sparkle and cost less.

     In 2006 I plan on attending horse shows throughout Ontario offering a selection of beautiful blouses ready to wear!
